I belong to the shy and introverts club. Yep. I’m one of those who can spend hours locked in his own world and doesn’t miss «the outer world». This has made it easier for me, from a very young age, to dedicate many hours creating, with a pencil and paper, an open door to multitude of infinite universes.

Illustration began as a hobby that, based on study, work and pure vocation, ended up becoming my lifestyle. There were many influences, both in my childhood and throughout my professional life, but there are definitely 2 fundamental pillars that led me to become Concept Marc.

On one hand, the world of fantasy which I discovered with my older brother who, although sometimes reluctantly, took me as a companion to his role-playing club. For me illustrating fantasy is generating, at a single glance, an almost palpable essence of an entire universe.

On the other hand, the world of classical art which, from a very young age, had been present in my dreams since I always wanted to paint like the old masters. Thanks to reading Dante Aligheri’s Divine Comedy, I chose to undertake this path, which allowed me to learn about human anatomy and its mechanisms, therefore perfecting my technique and taking it to a much more realistic level.

For me, the combination of both styles manages to capture in each image a realism that transmits smells, textures, gestures, movements and emotions… almost like feeling that you yourself are in that scene. It is about dancing on a route where you can feel a whole story and each of its details, from the swirl of air in the flapping of a dragon’s wing to the sulfur smell of a fire spell.

Everything is about capturing the essence of each story.
